One Direction star Niall Horan took to Twitter to show his appreciation for McFly after they joined the band to work on their new album.

The former X Factor contestants are currently working on the follow-up to their smash hit 'Up All Night' and it seems like they have reconvened with McFly to work on new material.

McFly's Danny Jones started off Twitter banter on Wednesday night (July 18), blasting One Direction's skills at computer gaming. He said:

"Great sesh today with @Harry_Styles @NiallOfficial @Real_Liam_Payne @Louis_Tomlinson @zaynmalik1D Great hangin! shame about ya fifa skills!"

Niall Horan then tweeted: "Great session today with @Dannymcfly @dougiemcfly @tommcfly , famous words of danny,"if we cant write a song,we'll have a laugh ! Haha."

Horan also posted a photo of McFly's Tom Fletcher from the session, which sees the singer with a pink ukulele.
