One Direction rep refuses to comment on Olympics closing ceremony talk

A spokesperson for One Direction has refused to comment on a report claiming the band are set to play at the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games.

The pop group have been heavily linked with performing at the event on August 12, but no official announcement has yet been made.

The Mirror reported yesterday (July 29) that One Direction would definitely be playing at the event - with Ed Sheeran also performing.

However, a spokesperson for One Direction refused to comment on the report.

As previously reported, One Direction star Niall Horan has been getting into the London 2012 spirit recently, taking to Twitter to put himself forward for any tickets that aren't going to be used.
