Irish heartthrob Niall Horan has shared an embarrassing story with his 5.5 million Twitter followers after an unfortunate incident plagued his round of golf earlier today (August 9).

The One Direction singer ventured out this afternoon to play golf, but was left red-faced after the trousers he was wearing split "right down the middle" and he told his fans about it via the social networking site:

"Meself and marv out playing golf today! Lovely weather! Just played golf with marv! Great laugh! I split my trousers right down the middle on the first hole, tie'n my shoe laces hahaha! #fool." He later added: "I said t marv, I'm prayin there is no paps!"

After his round on the green, Horan shared his excitement to learn that Irish boxer Katie Taylor had won her match and wrote: "Came off the golf course to find the one and only katie taylor had just won GOLD ! Incredible! What a great fighter!"
