One Direction's Louis Tomlinson not going to be "oppressed" by management

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson says the band wouldn't change who they are at the request of their management team.

The quintet have become global icons this year and as a result, their every move is now publicised and scrutinised.

Speaking to Top of the Pops magazine, singer Louis Tomlinson said however that One Direction are "proud" to be a bunch of young men who are up for a night out. He said:

"The papers would be quick, I'm sure, if there was a picture of me falling out of a club. But the one thing were we're proud of is we're a normal and genuine boyband, and we're not trying to be anyone we're not."

The 'What Makes You Beautiful' star added that he isn't going to be "oppressed" by higher powers should they ever look to curtail the band's extra-curricular activities. He continued:

"To be honest, I'm sure the majority of 20-year-olds go out and party. I'm not going to feel oppressed. Clearly I feel very strongly about this!"
