One Direction's Harry Styles shows his support for BBC Radio 1's Nick Grimshaw

One Direction star Harry Styles has backed new BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show host Nick Grimshaw.

The radio presenter is hosting the morning show for the first time on September 24 after he replaced Chris Moyles.

Moyles oversaw his last show on Friday (September 14) after over eight years in charge and asked his loyal listeners to give Grimshaw a chance.

One Directon's Harry Styles has appeared in advertising material for Nick Grimshaw's new show, with the singer supporting the 'Team Grimmy' campaign.

He called on fans and listeners to show their support for his friend by posting the hashtag '#teamgrimmy' on Twitter, with the singer also donning Grimshaw's trademark quiff.

Styles previously starred in a new promotional advert alongside the likes of Professor Green and Rita Ora as they helped Grimshaw wake up in the morning.
