Harry Styles encourages fans to sponsor mother for charity "trek"

One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles has taken to his personal Twitter account in a bid to do some last-minute fundraising for his mother's impending charity climb of Mount Kilimanjaro.

He revealed that his mum, Anne Cox, is leaving for the adventure tomorrow (September 28) and directed his 7 million followers to a site where they can send in money:

"Hi guys, my mum is climbing mount Kilimanjaro for charity and she goes tomorrow..You can sponsor her here if you want!"

According to Anne Cox's, justgiving.com page, she has so far raised a staggering £27,972.03 despite having a target of just £10,000 and she will donate the funds to the Believe in Magic charity.

A message on the donations page explained that the organisation helps "spread magic to seriously and terminally ill children in the UK. Through very special and once in a lifetime experiences, magical parties and anything we can to put that all important smile on their faces."
