One Direction comment on new single's Clash similarity

One Direction have commented on alleged similarities between their new single and The Clash's 'Should I Stay or Should I Go'.

The British pop group are releasing 'Live While We're Young' as the the first single from their forthcoming new album 'Take Me Home', which is scheduled for a November 12 release.

Some people thought that the intro the single was a bit too similar to the main riff of The Clash's classic 'Should I Stay or Should I Go'.

One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles said that the band are used to comparisons, however, after people likened their first single to the Grease track 'Summer Nights'. He said:

"It's a bit like the first single ['What Makes You Beautiful'] where the opening riff sounds similar to a certain film [Grease]. It's kind of on purpose though, it's a great riff."
