Simon Cowell: "One Direction movie will please fans"

Simon Cowell says One Direction's upcoming 3D movie will be "about the fans".

As well as the recent release of their second studio album Take Me Home, the band -comprising of Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne - also unveiled plans to release a 3D film next year.

Their mentor Cowell, who hinted that a lot of the flick will revolve around their 2013 world tour, explained to MTV that the boys will centre the content around their adoring followers:

"Well, I mean, for anyone whose fan of the band you're gonna get a chance to really see what it's like preparing for one of these big concert tours, a lot of it is about the fans."

The film is set for release next August.

Meanwhile, Cowell has praised One Direction's new record.

He gushed: "It's incredible. Always when I'm asked this question, you've got to thank the fans, the One Direction fans literally [are] unbelievable."

One Direction appeared live on the Children In Need concert last night - performing their hit single Live While We're Young before slowing things down with their newest single Little Things.

Band member Malik took to Twitter after the show to appeal for donations: "Children in need was amazing tonight lets try raise as much we can :D x (sic)."
