One Direction poke fun at their bandmates' swoon faces

One Direction have discussed getting into the moment whilst filming music videos.

The British pop group recently released the video for their new ballad 'Little Things' and it enjoys a simple, stylish look.

Speaking to MTV, Zayn Malik said that he thinks about the lyrics to the song when he's filming an emotional close-up - but Harry Styles revealed that they make fun of each other as they record their pieces.

Malik said: "I think you just get into the song and think about the lyrics and what it means to you. You might be looking out at the camera, but you might be thinking about something else. You're not thinking that millions of people are going to watch this, you're just into the song, into the lyrics, you're just feeling what the song is about."

Styles chimed in: "When it's on the screen we take pictures of the screen. We have a really good one, I think I have a picture of Liam."

Liam Payne added: "There's one point in the video where Louis pointed out to me and I didn't realise, but from the angle of the camera...it looks like I've gone [cross-eyed]. The funniest thing is they didn't tell me until they actually cut the video."
