Little Mix's favourite One Direction member is Zayn Malik as he treats Perrie Edwards so well.

The teenage heartthrob and the blonde star went public with their romance earlier this year, and have appeared loved-up ever since.

Edwards' Little Mix bandmates Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirwall and Leign-Anne Pinnock have weighed in on their pal's relationship, and have praised Malik for his impressive boyfriend credentials.

They told Teen.com: ''Zayn is our favourite One Direction member because he really loves Perrie and looks after her.''

Malik's mum Patricia has previously gushed about formally welcoming Edwards into her family in the future.

Speaking to Heat magazine she said: "She would be a perfect daughter-in-law. I don't think we'll be seeing a proposal anytime soon, because they both want to focus on their careers."

She added: "She's lovely though. Zayn saw her on the telly and knew he liked her - he just had to convince her. Our families are each other's families now."
