Irish parents reveal fury at One Direction online ticket prices

Ticket buyers have expressed their anger at the price of One Direction briefs on third party websites.

The Irish Sun reports that there has been an outcry against Viagogo, which lets people sell concert tickets on their website for a price of their choosing.

This means that some plucky users have been listing tickets to One Direction's upcoming gigs in Dublin for as much as €1,602.64 - despite the face value being only €40.

One ticket buyer told the newspaper that they were being priced out of purchasing a ticket for their daughter. He said:

"I was looking at maybe buying one at €150.00 - even though they were bought for €40. Over Christmas they shot up on the web to well over €600 and I had a friend who paid €€300 for one for his daughter, it's madness. These sites might as well be wearing balaclavas because it's daylight robbery."

The lowest price currently for One Direction's four dates at Dublin's O2 Arena in March on Viagogo is €151.69.
