Morgan Spurlock to begin work on One Direction film

Morgan Spurlock has confirmed that he is to commence work on One Direction's debut film shortly.

The Super Size Me man has been tapped up to direct the 3D flick, which is expected to be unleashed in August.

It will be the band's first ever feature-length film and fans are already highly anticipating the release, which is set to showcase what life is like for One Direction.

Speaking at the Consumer Electronics Show on Thursday (January 10), Spurlock confirmed that he will begin production on the film this weekend in Japan.

Responding to why he accepted the job, he said: "These guys have gotten so huge in such a short amount of time - why? What makes them more special than any other people?"

Spurlock added that he unsuccessfully tried to land roles working on Justin Bieber and Katy Perry's films.
