One Direction have treated fans in Japan to a preview of their forthcoming Comic Relief single.

The band are covering Blondie's 'One Way Or Another' for this year's Red Nose Day, which is taking place on March 15.

A video has emerged of the quintet practising the song whilst in Japan recently, with the cameras rolling on the lads and a crowd of fans.

The revealing clip shows a behind the scenes look at the band as they film what could be the song's video.

Zayn Malik is seen singing a line from the song as adoring fans replicate a dance move for the cameras.

Harry Styles meanwhile opens by holding the camera as the rest of his bandmates stand in front of the audience.

One Direction, who appear unsure of quite what is going on in the early stages of the clip, are also seen encouraging the crowd.
