One Direction to perform new single at BRITs

One Direction will perform their new Comic Relief single for the first time at this year's BRIT Awards.

The pop stars will play their cover of Blondie's 'One Way or Another' at the ceremony in London on February 20.

Speaking about the new single, singer Niall Horan said:

"We are really excited to be part of Red Nose Day this year. We recorded Blondie's 'One Way or Another' and we really want the song to raise lots of money and for people to show their support by going out and buying themselves a copy."

Louis Tomlinson added: "Getting the chance to perform Blondie's song will be incredible. We're so excited! Red Nose Day is a great excuse to have a lot of fun and to raise money, please get involved."

The single, meanwhile, will be unleashed in the UK online on February 17 before getting a physical release in Sainsbury's on February 18.

One Direction are also nominated for an award at the BRITs in the British Group category.
