One Direction respond to Jake Bugg "rock star" jibe

One Direction have taken to Twitter to hit back at Jake Bugg after he slagged them off in an interview.

As previously reported, the young singer-songwriter recently criticised the band and those who believe One Direction are "rock stars" or the new Beatles.

It doesn't seem to have sat well with the 'Kiss You' stars, with Niall Horan posting on Twitter today (February 22):

"Really buggs me that artists we're fans of, flip on us in the press!"

Louis Tomlinson meanwhile took it one further by tweeting 18-year-old Bugg directly, saying:

"Hi @JakeBugg do you think slagging off boy bands makes you more indie?"

Bugg's self-titled debut album meanwhile was released in the UK in October last year and hit No.1 in the charts.
