One Direction hunk Louis Tomlinson has been caught on camera forgetting the lyrics during a live concert last week.

Tomlinson and the rest of his bandmates - Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik - treated fans to a rendition of Wheatus' popular hit 'Teenage Dirtbag' during their show in Cardiff, Wales over the weekend.

The 21-year-old star strutted to the edge of the stage to sing his solo before admitting his mind had gone completely blank.

Making a joke to his screaming fans, Tomlinson quipped: "I just forgot the lyrics. I'm not even going to pretend that I know them."

After the rest of the group chimed in to help with the verse, Louis managed to sing the last line before shouting down his mic: "I'm sorry, Cardiff."

After the gig, Tomlinson brushed off his blunder, and took to Twitter to write: "What a great gig ! Loved that !!!! (sic)."

One Direction are currently in Ireland as they continue their extensive 117-date world tour.

Payne took to his Twitter page this morning to gush about the band's successful concert in Dublin last night (March 5).

The star wrote: "Dublin you were incredible last night! Cant wait to get back out there tonightttt! (sic)."
