One Direction heartthrob Louis Tomlinson has told his 9.4 million Twitter followers that he has hurt his knee so might be a little reserved at the group's next few shows.

Writing on the social networking site earlier today (March 11), he explained that he can't run around and jump as much as usual because it's so painful:

"Knee hurts :( Ah well f**k it. I apologise if I'm not jumping around on stage as much, stupid knee! #kneedtogetbetter (terrible joke)."

Tomlinson isn't the only member of the 'Little Things' band as singer Niall Horan has also been struggling with a knee injury and shared photographs of a pile of support bandages before the Take Me Home tour began. Horan even admitted that he might opt for surgery after the extensive run of dates is over.
