One Direction have given fans a sneak peek at their new waxwork models.

As previously reported, the popular boyband have teamed up with Madame Tussauds to tour lifelike figures of the quintet around the world.

The models will go on show in London, New York and Sydney from April 28 until early 2014.

In a new feature shown on ITV's Daybreak today (April 3), the lads showed off their waxwork models in progress.

A series of photos from the video, which were taken and uploaded to Twitter by @Swavey1D, see the lads check out their models.

The schedule for the waxwork tour meanwhile will see the models hit London from April 28 - July 11, with the figures then travelling to New York until October 11.

They will then be put on show in Sydney from October 24 to January 28 2013.
