One Direction on their decision to do a film: 'You can't show your personality in a 10-minute interview'

'Little Things' heartthrobs One Direction have revealed that their main reason for working on a movie for their fans was to really capture their individual personalities as it's hard to get a real sense of who they are from brief interviews.

During today's press conference about their newly announced 2014 stadium tour, the lads explained that while their followers get an insight into their characters through their Twitter pages, they still don't feel as if they really know who they are so wanted to release a film showing exactly that:

"On Twitter you only have 140 characters, you can't get personality across in ten-minute interviews. It's going to be a lot more of how we interact and how we're chilled out in the dressing room and it will be nice to see us as we are."

'This Is us' has been directed by 'Super Size Me' star Morgan Spurlock and will be released later this year (August 29), and Niall Horan added that it will let their Directioners into their private lives like never before: "It's good in the movie because people can see what we're like behind the scenes."

Meanwhile, fans have been reacting to their 'big announcement' from earlier this afternoon and the hashtag '#onebigdisappointment' has been in the top 10 worldwide trending topics list on Twitter because the dates the group have confirmed so far are only in South America, the UK and Ireland.
