One Direction Niall on world tour: 'We'll be performing in places I've never heard of'

One Direction's Niall Horan has admitted that the band will be playing shows next year in countries and cities that he has never heard of.

The group recently announced plans to tour the world in 2014 with their first ever headline stadium tour, Where We Are.

They've already confirmed dates in South America, Ireland and the UK, with more countries due to be announced soon.

Speaking to RTE, Horan admitted that his knowledge of geography is so rusty that he'll probably be playing in cities and countries he's never even heard of. The singer said:

"When the charity single ['One Way Or Another] went to No 1 in 62 countries, I didn't even know 62 countries existed! We're definitely going to be performing in places I've never heard of before."

The first date of One Direction's Where We Are tour is currently due to take place in Colombia on April 25.
