A video of two men using One Direction lyrics as chat-up lines has been causing buzz online.

The boyband's lyrics are often love orientated, with tracks like 'What Makes You Beautiful' a perfect example.

A clip uploaded onto YouTube at the end of June featuring their lyrics as pick-up lines has attracted over 1.1 million views to date.

The two men's efforts are largely unsuccessful - but they did manage to impress some ladies.

As previously reported, One Direction recently revealed the artwork for their new single 'Best Song Ever'.

The track is due to feature on their upcoming 3D film This Is Us, which is set to be unleashed in August.
