One Direction's Louis Tomlinson hit by flying shoe at concert

One Direction's Louis Tomlinson was apparently struck by an airborne shoe at a recent US gig.

The British boyband were performing in Salt Lake City last night (July 25) when the incident occurred.

The quintet were standing on a raised platform during the song 'Moments' when a shoe was thrown from the audience and seemingly hit Tomlinson on the head.

The singer was reportedly annoyed by the incident and allegedly spoke to their security staff about the shoe.

It's not the first time One Direction have been caught out by flying footwear; Harry Styles was hit in the groin by a shoe whilst the band performed in Glasgow in February.

That particular incident saw Styles fall over in apparent mock pain, much to the delight of the Scottish crowd.
