Louis Tomlinson signs up for Glasgow charity football match

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson has agreed to feature in an upcoming charity football game in Scotland.

The singer will take part in the Stiliyan Petrov #19 Legends match at Celtic Park in Glasgow on September 8 alongside the likes of Roy Keane, Henrik Larsson and John Terry.

The game has been organised to raise money for charities picked by former Celtic and Aston Villa player Petrov, who cut short his career earlier this year following a battle with cancer.

Tomlinson has a strong association with football and has taken part in charity matches before. He even signed up with local team Doncaster Rovers recently in a non-contract role.

Celtic have confirmed that the One Direction star will don their green and white hoops for the September game.

The Glasgow club played their first match in 1888 but they remain Scotland's second most successful club behind rivals Rangers.
