Louis Tomlinson to play for Doncaster Rovers Reserves

Louis Tomlinson will feature in a Doncaster Rovers Reserves football match later this month.

The One Direction star recently signed a non-contract deal with the Championship club in an effort to raise money for the Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

The move was expected to be a ceremonial one, with little playing time involved - but it has been confirmed by the club that he will turn out for their reserves team on September 18.

He will feature against Scunthorpe United Reserves in Doncaster, with the match hoping to raise money for the hospice.

Tickets are not yet on sale but a special phone hotline has been set up in anticipation of their release.

Tomlinson has previously featured in charity football matches before and he is also signed up to appear in a Stiliyan Petrov tribute match at Celtic Park, Glasgow on September 8.
