Niall Horan has revealed that he will lend some guitar work to One Direction's new album.

The singer often plays electric and acoustic guitar when performing live and it seems he is taking this onto the group's forthcoming effort 'Midnight Memories'.

The Irishman tweeted: "If you listen to Midnight Memories you might hear someone you know on guitar occasionally! :)."

Horan added: "I like playing the guitar a good bit!"

'Midnight Memories', which follows up 2012's 'Take Me Home', is scheduled to be released on November 25.
