One Direction star Liam Payne has requested that fans stay away from the back of their hotel due to the threat of snakes.

The boyband recently arrived in Australia as they take their Take Me Home tour down under, with the group playing in Adelaide today (September 24) and tomorrow (September 25).

However, Payne took to Twitter to ask fans to keep away from the back of their hotel due to the number of snakes which may be living there. He said:

"Girls behind the hotel please get out the fields there's a huge sign saying snake habitat it's just not worth it someone's gunna get hurt.

The singer added: "Are u not reading what I'm saying its a SNAKE HABITAT TURN AROUND."
