One Direction star Niall Horan has told the band's fans to stay composed in order to meet the the group.

The 'Kiss You' stars are currently in Australia on the latest leg of their Take Me Home tour and they have been given a hero's welcome.

However, Horan took to Twitter to tell his followers that people need to stay calm when outside their hotel in order to meet the group, otherwise security will intervene. He said:

"Thanks for being so calm at the hotel! We get t take pictures with u guys! And the police and hotel security don't stop it!"

He later added that he hopes he can meet fans later in the tour in Sydney - as long as police don't "freak out".

Horan's bandmate Liam Payne meanwhile recently donned his sensible cap and took to Twitter to warn fans not to stand at the back of their hotel because it is a snake habitat.
