One Direction signed wall charity auction proving popular

A charity auction that is giving one fan the chance to purchase a piece of wall signed by One Direction is attracting interest online.

West Midlands station Free Radio is raising money for an operation for 4-year-old neuroblastoma sufferer Kelli Smith by selling the section of wall before they move offices.

The auction, which can be viewed here, is currently sitting at an impressive £5,200 with eight days left to run.

Speaking about the listing, Free Radio's Nigel Freshman said: "Because we're a radio station we get lots of celebs dropping by for a chat and always get them to sign our Wall of Fame. Given the hysteria surrounding One Direction we couldn't leave it behind and seemed only right do something totally unique with it and the general consensus was to auction it off for charity. So we did."

A builder managed to cut out the section of wall with One Direction's signatures on it - although Scouting For Girls' scribble was tragically cut in half during the process.
