London Directioners named most dedicated One Direction fans

One Direction fans span the globe but one city in particular has been named as the location for the British boy band’s biggest enthusiasts.

Viagogo – the world’s largest ticket marketplace – has looked back at ticket demand data for One Direction’s ‘Take Me Home’ world tour in order to gauge where their biggest fan bases are located.

The company’s research shows that London is home to the world’s most dedicated Directioners. Fans in Manchester came in at a close second.

Looking at the boys’ global fan base, One Direction’s UK fans were followed up by their American counterparts in terms of concert ticket demand.

Viagogo have also reported that each leg of the ‘Take Me Home’ tour has accrued at least eight million searches with the One Direction live shows accumulating over 45 million searches in total globally.

Viagogo’s spokesperson Steve Roest said:

"As One Direction’s world tour comes to an end, it’s clear that UK fans are the most dedicated Directioners. If you weren’t lucky enough to get your hands on a ticket for the 2013 tour, fear not, as Niall, Harry, Louis, Liam and Zayn will be back with their ‘Where We Are’ European tour in April 2014.”

One Direction play the final date of their ‘Take Me Home’ tour tonight (November 3) in Tokyo.
