One Direction's 'Midnight Memories' dominates iTunes charts worldwide

One Direction are currently reigning supreme in a number of iTunes album charts worldwide.

The group released their third studio collection 'Midnight Memories' on Monday (November 25) and it looks set to be another smash hit for the boyband.

It is currently No.1 on iTunes charts across the globe, including in their native UK and the US.

The record is also ruling the roost in countries such as Australia, Brazil and India.

One Direction's previous album 'Take Me Home' meanwhile hit No.1 in the official charts of over thirty five countries worldwide last year.

It was ultimately ranked the fourth best-selling record of 2012 with sales of 4.4m units, despite only being released in November.

The group's first record 'Up All Night' similarly topped charts across the globe when it was released in 2011.

The former X Factor hopefuls meanwhile picked up two gongs at this year's American Music Awards on Sunday (November 24) - Best Pop/Rock Album and Favourite Band, Duo or Group Pop/Rock.
