One Direction warn fans about fake ticket websites

One Direction have stressed to fans that they should ensure they are buying legitimate tickets to see the band and not fakes.

The boyband are due to travel the world in their first stadium tour next year, but the popularity of the tickets means that crooks are attempting to sell fakes online.

The group's official Twitter account posted today (December 3) to state once again that fans should ensure they go through the official channels to purchase legitimate tickets. They said:

"Last year some of our fans bought counterfeit tickets from unofficial ticket selling sites. We have now been made aware of some websites selling fake tickets for the show and for VIP Packages and M&Gs."

The message concluded: "Tickets (and VIP packages if applicable) should ONLY be purchased from venue's official site or Ticketmaster. Please take great care."

One Direction's Where We Are world tour is due to kick off in Colombia on April 25 before the show hits Europe and North America.
