One Direction happy to see their music reach older generation

One Direction's Niall Horan has expressed his joy at seeing his band's new music reach different audiences.

The lads recently released their third album 'Midnight Memories' and it sees the group evoke a more mature, rock-orientated sound.

Their music was added to the BBC Radio 2 playlist and it seems Horan is happy to see their tunes go beyond the youth market.

He said on Twitter: "Just seen a really cool tweet, I'm glad that our music is opening out to every generation! And that there is somethin for everyone (sic)."

Their album 'Midnight Memories' meanwhile has topped charts across the world, including in the UK and the US.

It saw the group land their third No.1 in the States in a row.
