Niall Horan has continued his love-in with Will Ferrell by lavishing praise on Anchorman 2.

One Direction recently appeared on Saturday Night Live alongside the cast of the comedy film and Horan took a photo of himself with actor Ferrell.

The Irishman has now seen the film and he took to Twitter to praise it in the most glowing of terms.

He said: "Just went to see anchorman 2! all I can say is the world would be a different place without will ferrel, Paul rudd, dave koechner, Steve carell and Adam McKay."

Horan later added: "Literally can't believe how good anchorman was! That's how ya make a sequel ! Loved every bit of it."

Will Ferrell meanwhile recently admitted that he was shocked by One Direction's level of talent when they performed on Saturday Night Live.

He said: "It was great to be there in support of Paul [Rudd] who was hosting and we got to perform with One Direction, or should I say they got to perform with us. I was kinda shocked, they actually are good singers. They're so down to earth and incredibly sweet."
