Ryan Tedder has been revealed as the most successful songwriter in the US over the last quarter of 2013.

Billboard have confirmed that the OneRepublic man was the top writer over October and December as result of having writing credits on a number of hit songs.

He is the sole writer on his band's massive tune 'Counting Stars', whilst he also contributed to Ellie Goulding's 'Burn' and Maroon 5's 'Love Somebody'.

Tedder also recently found himself at No.4 on a list of the top songwriters of 2013 in terms of UK sales.

His band OneRepublic meanwhile are due to perform at London's Roundhouse on March 16 before travelling around Britain.
