Monday 13 May 2019 - Kim Petras has released her latest single ‘Sweet Spot’ (listen). The iridescent disco-pop number recalls the effervescence of her idol Kylie Minogue’s Fever era. After selling out her first-ever US headline tour during pre-sale, Kim is bringing the Broken Tour to Europe – including a show at London’s Omeara on 27 August. Tickets are on sale at 9.00AM GMT on Friday 17 May. For tickets and all live updates, visit kimpetras.com .

The tour kicks off in the UK on 23 August with her appearance at Leeds Festival, then to Manchester Pride on 24 August, Reading Festival on 25 August followed by her biggest UK headline show to date at Omeara, London on 27 August. Kim will then take the show across to Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin before closing in her home town Cologne.

Kim’s new single ‘Sweet Spot’ follows hot on the heels of 'Broken' (listen), which unveiled a more grounded, personal sound for Kim. 'Broken' has racked up over 2 million streams in two weeks, making more than 30 of Spotify's global New Music Friday playlists and 45 of Apple Music's Best of The Week playlists. Recognised as one of pop’s most prodigious talents, Kim has earned rave reviews for the singles in her new era, which include ‘Got My Number’ (listen) and ‘Blow It All’ (listen).

FADER – “‘Broken’ does sound and feel like a significant departure from everything in her catalogue thus far. A bit darker and more grounded, but still cathartic in its execution.”

Wonderland – “With her classic powerhouse vocals and electro pop backing, it’s showing off her vulnerable side while simultaneously giving a big ‘fuck you’ to past lovers as she fires piercing lyrics over the nocturnal backing. A pop queen in the making.”

PAPER – “While "Broken" doesn't possess the exact same treble-heavy energy listeners have gotten used to, there exists a similar sense of pop-thenticity that she's cultivated as uniquely her own over the past year.”

Kim kicked off this year with a bang, headlining Sydney Mardi Gras and sold out her first headline shows in New York City, Los Angeles, Sydney, and Melbourne. While in Australia, Kim was also invited by Rita Ora to open on her Phoenix World Tour.

The rising star has to date racked up over 125 million global streams, broke into US Top 40 Radio with her infectious hit ‘Heart to Break’, and opened for Troye Sivan’s The Bloom Tour in North America.

Since her debut with the #1 Spotify Global Viral 50 bop ‘I Don’t Want It At All’, Kim has earned true cult status amongst pop music purists thanks to her brazen track record of fusing infectious melodies with heart-baring lyrics. She has earned critical praise from The Guardian, Independent, Noisey, NME, i-D, Pitchfork, The New York Times and many more. Kim’s Halloween-themed mixtape ‘TURN OFF THE LIGHT VOL. 1’ (listen) smashed through over 1 million streams within five days and have clocked up over 7.5 million streams to date.

As a transgender artist in mainstream media, Kim continues to break barriers for representation. She was recently nominated for a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Music Artist. Kim also made Forbes Europe’s 30 Under 30 list of fresh talent to watch for this year.
