PBS Recognized With Six Primetime Emmy® NominationsOFFICIAL PRESS RELEASENEWS PROVIDED BY PBS PBS programs received six nominations for the 72nd Annual Primetime Emmy® Awards. The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced the nominees on Tuesday, July 28 during a live virtual event hosted by Leslie Jones on Emmys.com. The critically acclaimed documentary series AMERICAN EXPERIENCE received a nomination for CHASING THE MOON in Exceptional Merit in Documentary Filmmaking. AMERICAN EXPERIENCE films have earned a total of 30 Emmy Awards over the years. AMERICAN MASTERS received their 76th Emmy nomination overall and 11th in Outstanding Nonfiction Series.
