Written while based in New York, Be Mine captures Ross's journey through a "situationship" that evolved into something deeper. Reflecting on the inspiration behind the song, Ross shares, "I’d been in something of a situationship for a while and was longing for more. When she started the conversation, I remember thinking, ‘Did she read my mind?’ We began the transition by pinching ourselves and trying to figure out how to act in this new stage. Sure enough, it evolved to the stage where it was time to spend the night."

Born and raised in Guyana on South America's northern coast, Juke Ross discovered his passion for music while studying medicine. The youngest of 14 siblings, he picked up the guitar during his med school days and soon began writing heartfelt, introspective songs.
