His musical journey began when he picked up a guitar to play a song for his wife on their anniversary, sparking his love for creating and sharing music. Since then, he has combined his love of poetry, scientific curiosity, and passion for his community to craft a unique sound that blends rock, blues rock, and pop influences. His inspirations include John Mayer, Tom Petty, and Jason Mraz.

“My music starts from a place of poetry and creative inspiration,” says Winters. “I use my ‘rocket-scientist brain’ to find structures that help me explore that initial burst of inspiration and feeling—like writing haikus, my favorite! My grandmother taught me to express myself through poetry, and I'm thankful to her for setting me on this creative and expressive path.”

A true polymath, Winters holds a degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering, and his analytical mindset plays a vital role in his songwriting. His ability to take complex emotions and translate them into music that resonates with audiences is a defining feature of his artistry.

Since releasing his debut album, Slipstream, in 2019, Winters has amassed millions of streams, landed on hundreds of playlists, and received widespread critical acclaim. His upcoming sophomore album, Boundary Layer, continues to showcase his fusion of scientific thought and heartfelt storytelling. The album serves as a tribute to those who have helped him push past boundaries and grow into the person he was meant to be.
