KALAMAZOO, MI — Homegrown talent Jon Hayes & The Company return to the stage in Kalamazoo for a headlining performance at the iconic Bell’s Back Room on Saturday, May 10, 2025. The evening promises a celebration of local artistry, featuring support from beloved Kalamazoo roots-rock band Deerfield Run, as well as a special songwriters round with Pete & Bergie, Carrie Mcferrin, and Jack Droppers of Jack Droppers & The Best Intentions. The show will take place at 355 East Kalamazoo Ave, with doors opening at 6PM.

Jon Hayes is no stranger to the Michigan music scene. With soulful tones reminiscent of John Mayer, and a storytelling style that nods to Bon Iver and NEEDTOBREATHE, Jon’s music is marked by vulnerability, authenticity, and emotional depth. After stepping away from music during a season of deep soul-searching, he returned in 2018 with the debut single “Temporary,” and hasn’t looked back—garnering fans across the Midwest and Northeast with his honest lyricism and stirring performances.

In 2023, Jon released his debut album Between You & Me, a record born from late nights, living room studios, and the collaborative spirit of close friends. The album explores the joy, sorrow, and hope of everyday life with songs like “Nursery Lie,” which addresses childhood trauma and healing, and quickly surpassed 10,000 Spotify streams. Featured on tastemaking indie folk playlists such as Indie Folk Central and Mahogany Coffee House, Jon’s music has continued to resonate far beyond his hometown.
