Paloma Faith apologises about her Gibraltar comments

Paloma Faith has taken to Twitter to apologise for making comments about Gibraltar's heritage.

The singer gave her thoughts about the country while performing at the Gibraltar Music Festival on Saturday (September 5).

The Brit, whose father is from Spain, said on stage:

"It's great to be in a place that's half English and half Spanish."

However, she took to Twitter on Sunday (September 6) to apologise for any offence caused.

Faith said: "If I offended anyone tonight in Gibraltar about their heritage Im sorry.I had no intention of doing that.i come in peace! I only bring love.

"I just wish that people could be kinder to each other and more compassionate and forgiving. There's too much anger in the world already [sic]."
