Paloma Faith has admitted that she’s not 'clued-up enough' to tackle political issues in her songs.

The 26-year-old, who this week expressed her frustration at her edited appearance on The Voice, told The Guardian that her upcoming second album, ‘Fall To Grace,’ sticks to themes she knows best: 

“I'd love to say that I could write political songs but I don't feel clued-up enough. I decided the next best thing would be socio-commentary, observing people."

However, the ‘New York’ singer, who last month revealed that she ‘compromised her artistic vision’ with her debut album, said that she can still relate to the recent troubles in her native Hackney:

"People write to me on Twitter: it's all right for you you've got loads of money. But I come from Hackney and I've seen the other side. Struggle and all that shit that [pop stars] love to say they've been through.

“I don't know anyone, from any class, who's had a perfectly easy life. I've met people born into wealthy families who feel like they didn't have much emotional support, and people who come from working-class families who had loads of love but no money."
