Johnny Depp has made a guest appearance in Sir Paul McCartney's new video.

The Beatle has released a promo clip for the song 'Early Days' and it sees the Liverpudlian jam with Hollywood A-lister Depp.

They are also joined by a number of blues musicians as they lord the acoustic guitar.

Director Vincent Haycock commented: "Paul's scene was incredibly fun to create. It was just him, some blues players and Johnny Depp jamming on set all day.

"Patti Smith also turned up on set and hung out, which made the crew very happy. It was one of my favourite days of filming ever."

'Early Days' meanwhile features on McCartney's latest album 'New', which was released in 2013.

It follows previous singles such as 'Queenie Eye' and 'Save Us'.
