Iconic musician Sir Paul McCartney has launched a competition with a cash prize to his artistically gifted fans. 

The 'Blackbird' singer has invited people to submit artwork inspired by his back catalogue and the winning entry will be awarded with $1000 (£625), the chance to exhibit their work in a London art gallery and McCartney merchandise.

He officially opened the contest yesterday, July 6 and it's in association with Talenthouse who are also running a competition for fans of Deadmau5 to redesign his signature mouse head.
