Sir Paul McCartney up for Olympics performance

Sir Paul McCartney has indicated that he may be taking part in the opening ceremony of London's forthcoming Olypmic Games.

The iconic musician was midway through an interview on an American television show when he was quizzed about the possibility of a performance at the 2012 games, and said:

"I met the guy who knows the guy who's going to ask somebody about it soon."

“I hear there's a rumour that I might be involved. I hear they're planning this [The Beatles] sort of music.”

Nothing official has been confirmed as of yet and you can watch him perform 'Let It Be' live in Las Vegas here:
