Pharrell says new Beyoncé album is "crazy"

Pharrell Williams has offered some rare details about Beyoncé's forthcoming new album.

The 'Grown Woman' star has been working for months on the follow-up to her 2011 record '4', but some fans are becoming frustrated with the lack of information surrounding its release.

Pharrell Williams has been working with the singer on the album and he told Billboard that it will be released when the time is right.

He added that the "crazy" record is impressing everyone who hears it. He said:

"B's album is crazy...She's very particular. She's a Virgo. And she's not going to put it out until it's ready and feels like it's right to her. She's got a very specific taste. I guess that's the reason she's Beyoncé. Her name is recognisable around the globe and that's huge. When you know what you want, you won't stop until you get it."

Williams added: "[Other people are hearing her album] and are like 'Whoa!' And she's like, 'Yeah, I'm almost done'. And she's the queen."

Speaking meanwhile about other projects he has on the horizon, the producer and singer said:

"Ed Sheeran. Usher. I'm going back in with T.I. Beyoncé. Jennifer Hudson. Nelly has this really big record named 'Rick James'. That's my jam. Hans Zimmer and I are scoring 'The Amazing Spiderman 2'. The 'Happy' video, it just feels like people - good people that all remember that we are entitled to smile. I'm very excited about that."

Williams has enjoyed something of golden touch recently, with the US star collaborating on Daft Punk and Robin Thicke's respective smash hits 'Get Lucky' and 'Blurred Lines'.
