'The Anthem' hitmaker Pitbull has joined forces with a Floridian sandwich chain in a bid to boost its reputation.

The star, who also goes by the name Mr. 305 after Miami's area code, has been taken on as a "significant" shareholder of The New Miami Subs Grill franchise and can't wait to give his input and support to the company.

Pitbull opened up about the exciting new business venture in an interview with the Miami Herald where he described the opportunity as "limitless":

"Anyone who knows Miami, knows Miami Subs and they love the Miami Subs food. What's better than Mr. 305 to be involved with Miami Subs. It's about two Miami brands being able to grow together. Where we can take it is limitless."

He also took to social networking site Twitter earlier this afternoon (July 25) and told his fans the news:

"Very gr8ful 4 the opportunity to be an owner @miamisubs luv the power of #305 coming 2gether daleeeee!"
