‘King Of Conflict’ ‘Album Of The Week’
Kerrang Radio – Matt Stocks December 10th 2012

With the release of Just A Ride, it is surely proof enough (if any was needed) that The Virginmarys really do mean business and ain’t here to merely make up the numbers. From the opening guitar salvo, Just A Ride is a furious, exhilarating song and is underpinned by Ally Dickaty’s guttural, venomous snarl and littered with emotional anguish lyrics, which sets them apart from anyone else and only reaffirms how important this band are to the flourishing British rock scene.

The Virginmarys will be headlining their own UK show’s in late February to promote their debut album, the electrifying ‘King Of Conflict’ which will enjoy a simultaneous release both in Europe (DoubleCross Records) & in the States (Wind-up Records). Not many bands can say that, these days.

If you never witnessed the band live? Then what the f**k are you playing at? Live, The Virginmarys are truly phenomenal & they should be! For in the last few years, the band have toured in 2012 with The View, Reverend & The Makers, Feeder, Eagles Of Death Metal, Ash & We Are Scientists, along with many of their own headline shows. The band even made a triumphant appearance at this years CMJ festival in NYC for the first time & following this, the band have also been confirmed for SXSW & a host of US festivals.

In the past year the band have received some great validation, including an iTunes Single of the Week on both sides of the Atlantic for the single Bang Bang Bang.
