Queen and Adam Lambert were honoured at this year's Classic Rock Awards.

The group picked up the Band of the Year prize at the ceremony, which was held on Tuesday (November 4) in Hollywood.

The ceremony tweeted: "Band Of The Year w/ @UMG goes to @QueenWillRock & @AdamLambert #classicrockawards."

Singer Lambert meanwhile said on Twitter: "We won!! So excited to win band of the year w @QueenWillRock at the #ClassicRockAwards!!"

The official Queen account added: "Many congratulations guys!"

Other winners on the night included Ozzy Osbourne (Classic Album), Metallica (Film of the Year) and Wilko Johnson (Album of the Year).
