Queen and Adam Lambert New Year gig watched by 10 million people

Queen and Adam Lambert's BBC New Year's Eve concert enjoyed ratings of up to ten million in the UK.

The band performed at London's Westminster Hall on Wednesday (December 31) before and after the New Year's bells.

The show was broadcast to the nation on BBC One and their set was widely praised.

It has been confirmed that the concert was watched by 5.8 million viewers before midnight.

After the bells, a total of ten million people tuned in.

The latter section of the performance had a UK TV audience share of 59.3%.
