Queen and Adam Lambert announce Swedish festival show

Queen and Adam Lambert have been confirmed to play at next year's Sweden Rock Festival.

The act were announced for the Sölvesborg event, which is taking place over June 8-11, today (November 9).

The festival wrote on Facebook: "We can now announce that this summer, you’ll get a chance to meet Her Majesty again - QUEEN + Adam Lambert is playing Sweden Rock Festival 2016!!

"This is the first concert in Sweden in 10 years, and we are pretty sure it will be nothing short of a magical evening."

The date is the first publicly confirmed show for Queen and Adam Lambert next year.

The band toured with the US singer in 2014 and 2015 in regions such as Europe and North America.

Lambert first performed with Queen in his own right at the MTV EMAs in 2011.

The singer meanwhile recently announced two solo UK dates.

The shows - set for London and Manchester - form part of a wider European tour in promotion of his 2015 album 'The Original High'.
